MUTOH America, Inc. is looking for an experienced Field Sales Engineer experienced with large format printers in the Southeast region of the US and the Caribbean Islands. This position is fully remote, requires travel, works directly with our dealers for repairs, installations, and training on MUTOH large format printers. The Field Sales Engineer serves as a technical resource in the sales process when complex and technical equipment, services and applications are involved. This position is full-time remote reporting to the Service Manager and works closely with sales out of Phoenix, AZ corporate office to support the needs of our dealers.

Responsibilities:

  • Receive inbound service calls from MUTOH America Inc. authorized dealers to assist in the evaluation of hardware and software issues.
  • Provides training on printers, cutters, RIP software and applications.
  • Train the dealers on the functionalities of MUTOH hardware and software.
  • Provides expertise and technical support to Regional Sales Teams.
  • Ensures that dealer's technical needs are met, which may include product and application training.
  • With the assistance of the dealer, provide support and training to end-user customers and resolve problems during installation.
  • Conduct onsite installation of large format printers and accessories.
  • Analyze and resolve any technical issues related to Mutoh printers and plotters.
  • Attending industry trade shows, customer open houses to support sales efforts.
  • Travel up to 50%+ of work time.

Requirements:

  • Two to four years of experience in software, design, and technical training on Large Format Printers and Plotters (MUTOH preferred) or sales experience required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interpret technical terms.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent sales and customer service skills with a proven ability to explain technical products to non-technical or technical audiences.
  • Ability to apply engineering, technology, or other related principles to product sales.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Proficient in Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, a plus.
  • Requires valid driver's license, clean MVD, successful background clearance.

  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk, working on a computer, or driving long distances.
  • Standing for long periods up to 8 hours
  • Must be able to lift to 100 pounds at a time.
